The Belgian Development CooperatioTogether with the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) the Belgian Development Cooperation set up the project Learning about living in Benin in the frame of the She Decides movement.

She Decides was started in early 2017 with the aim of promoting the rights of women and girls around the world.

Learning about living in Benin aims to improve the education of young people in order to prevent violence towards girls, by implementing innovative strategies, including the creation of e-learning and mobile learning platforms, as well as a vademecum which can provide reliable information regarding all questions on health and sexual and reproductive rights, and on the problem of sexual violence. Information will also be distributed among the target audience on the existing services which could help them.

The aim of the project is to improve the quality of life of girls and women in Benin. Belgium will participate with a budget of €1.5 million for a period of 2 years.
